I was so hoping to get more of these edited for a sneak peek but with our Face 2 Face workshop this weekend and a TON of end of year activites at Gracie’s school, I just didn’t get a chance too but I quickly had to share this one. Who’s with me on pinching those sweet chubby cheeks?
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Your work is gorgeous!! This image really embodies this age. Really emotive. Beautiful work! Well HELLO month 9 of “What ______ Looks Like.” The month of April came and went like a blur, chalked full of birthdays, anniversaries, school activities, school testing, projects, Easter and workshop planning. Throw in some fun downtime and this is “What April Looks Like.”
Continue the circle and head on over to the blog of Sarah Cornish | My Four Hens Photography and she what she captured for her “What ________ Looks Like.” ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ummmm okay the bucket of water g poured on himself is hilarious, hahaha and i love your april:) first … happy birthday to ms. g! looks like you spoiled her with so many beautiful details. and mr. g … I just want to squeeze him. love him against that window light and with the water! what a wonderful month you had! Oh I just love looking at your kids pictures, they are so adorable. Please tell me when get to photograph them in a couple weeks? Gracies party looks awesome, all that food looks delish Oh Brenda Happy Birthday to your sweet girl! I need to have you plan my parties, holy gorgeous! LOVE these. You have the cutest kids EVER! Love these! where did you find the striped orange and white and black and white little cup things? Well hello there! Yes, I’m still here and around….just busy as a bee as I’m sure many of you are! I’m getting prepared for our second Face 2 Face in person workshop that is being held on May 19th and 20th. I’m super excited as a couple of our Bloom Forum Moderators are flying in to help out. There are two spots available so if you are interested, I would love for you to join the fun. You can read about the details HERE. And we are looking for some CUTE models for it as well. We are having a model contest so head HERE to read how you can enter you sweet little one. So how many of you found a good blue bluebonnet field? They bloomed early didn’t they this year? We found a pretty good one in Flower Mound considering it was in the middle of town. So of course we packed up the kids to take photos and beat the crowd that was there who had the same idea. This first one below is already printed as an 8×10 and on my desk so everytime I jump on my laptop, I see those sweet faces.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() First and foremost I have to apologize for the picture overload! I took these during our Spring Break vacation and just felt I needed to share all of them in one post instead of splitting them up. As I mentioned, I captured these when we headed to San Francisco and then Carmel over Spring Break. It was so beautiful there and it was such a nice getaway. I definitely came back rejuvenated. I’m also am so very happy because I owe many of these photos that a took from this challenge itself. Normally during vacations and special events I feel like I have to take the most amazing photos…posed, set up and oh so perfect where in the end I’m miserable, not enjoying myself and most importantly, my kids not enjoying themselves and the moment. So this year, I just left all those feelings at home, packed up my camera and just decided to shoot when I felt like it and not to disrupt any of the free-for-all fun happenings that were taking place around me. For the most part I did it. I just let them frolick around on the beach and in the water. Now being a posed photographer, for me NOT to take a couple posed photos would well…just not be me but I would say that about 80% of the photos I came away from this trip with were all lifestyle which in turn made me happy and made them happy as well. So I give your “What Spring Break 2012 Looks Like”:
Thanks for checking out my challenge for this month, now please continue the circle with the blog of Sarah Cornish | My Four Hens Photography and see what treat she has in store for you! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() and THAT is why this is the perfect project to be a part of right?! so proud of you too…and i have to say i adore each and every images…real life and simply beautiful Hello gorgeous photos, these are AMAZING. First off I am loving your post processing these days, it’s gorgeous. And second looks like your vacay was so amazing. The color, the beach, everything is just perfect. I’m in love with the shots you got of the kiddos! These are all so wonderful! I can feel that you totally let your hair down, and the result is nothing short of beautiful. And I totally agree, this project has helped me let go of so many hang ups when it comes to the camera. And those jelly fish shots totally belong in Nat Geo! Oh, I am so jealous! These are so fun and beautiful! Love the fish shots. Your kids are beautiful, Bren! so beautiful brenda, every one! what a fun week you guys had. i love them all, but those fish shots really are incredible. love the one with the people, middle bottom. that one is amazing. Oh honestly!! These are amazing, Bren. Your processing on these is perfect too, and they look filmish to me. PS, when did your kids grow up so much?? Make them stop. So jealous of that vacation! I loved when I lived in Monterey. So glad you had such fun! I loved these “lifestyle” shots of your family just being themselves. And you were vacationing in my back yard so it was fun to see your how your “eye” took it all in. I’ve been to those places so many times it was refreshing to see your perspective! Brenda, these are beautiful! I love the beach photos especially. I happen to think the northern CA coast is incredibly beautiful with all of the fog and chill. We were just in Half Moon Bay yesterday in fact. I’m so glad you had a great vacation! Brenda, these are breathtaking!!!!!!!!!!!! |
